Corbett Budget Proposal Holds True
Gov. Tom Corbett today proposed a state budget that matches what he promised on the campaign trail: no tax increases. His plan covers the $4 billion state deficit by returning General Fund spending to the level it was three years ago.
Now the ball is in the court of the General Assembly, which itself is targeted by Corbett for a spending cut. The politics will now begin in earnest.
